There is not much "science" to this post ...but rather just a continuation of the aesthetic beauty of oaks. This "value" to our eyes and soul is difficult to place a monetary figure to.
However, the prior UC Hardwoods and Range Management Program has well documented the increased land values of property parcels that have standing oaks on them, as well as the dollars spent to maintain, manicure, and/or remove oak trees from said parcels. In many cases, we as humans who appreciate the oaks, are willing to pay higher prices for parcels with them but end up harming or killing them with kindness.
How much value do you place on this view?
