Program: Do you long to enjoy growing your own flowers, vegetables, an herb garden yet, lack the space or time for a full garden? Come learn to grow tomatoes, a mini-flower garden, some vegetables or herbs in a few containers or raised beds on your patio or deck. This workshop will cover the primary considerations you need to address when growing vegetables in containers. We’ll discuss the types of containers, their placement, best soil to use, watering, fertilizing, and what plants grow well in containers. This workshop will be both a classroom presentation and hands-on gardening at the MMG Demo Garden at Indian Valley College Farm. Bring a container you can easily carry to plant.

Location: Building 28A, classrooms 101 and 102
Special Instructions: Check-in and social time 9:30 - 10 AM; Workshop starts at 10:00 AM. Free parking in Upper Lot 5. Walk to farm classrooms adjacent to the ball fields.
